I am fortunate to have a guru who has been guiding me in my personal quest of kaizen (continuous improvement), and removal of my own ignorance, since 1975. I have also been meditating ever since. I value and build close friendships.
A tipping point in my life came in 2019, that led me to read the DSM-5 manual, study the current CBT approaches in Psychiatry and understand the challenges faced by the U.S. mental health industry. I developed a self-reflection test to become aware of our own emotional states that affect our thoughts and behavior. I also developed an anonymous chat-box for everyone to share how they are dealing with life’s ups and downs, and learn from each other.
This began the journey towards the eventual advent of MIND Technologies Inc., and our Flagship product, HAPPILY (TM).
Kaizen is also my philosophy in business. I challenge the status quo, influence change, and lead by motivating actions towards a common goal. I am a perpetual innovator, problem solver and systems thinker. I enjoy simplifying and streamlining physical, managerial and business processes prior to automation … a step that is generally trivialized and neglected.
I have founded two ventures, one to provide a highly effective tool for retail investors, to select mutual funds and ETFs; and the other to manufacture small offset printing machines in India. I also have two patents related to securities trading, and one for a flush tank.
A few other exciting projects include:
- Space Shuttle: Solved the falling ablative-insulation problem of the external fuel tank. An important learning was that sometimes simple solutions can solve complex problems.
- Coal Mines in the US: Designed a low-profile personnel safety vehicle. The thrilling part was going deep into coal mines in 5 states, through 2 feet high shafts.
- Theory of Friction & Wear: Designed a unique apparatus to observe how wear particles are produced by friction between two surfaces. The exciting part was to discover how even copper can wear steel. This led to a new theory of wear particle formation!
I have worked as a Senior VP and head of the quantitative equity research group at Fidelity’s Mutual Fund Division, and at DEC, Booz Allen, Godrej and Boyce, and BF Goodrich Aerospace.
My education includes a ScD (MIT), MBA (CWRU), ME (IIT Bombay), BE Mech (VRCE Nagpur). I am an associate member of the American Psychological Association.

Creativity, organization, and attention to detail are my defining qualities. I have made Syracuse, NY, my home since 1999.
I believe in the power of positive psychology and the impact this can have on one’s ability to experience happiness and peace in life. Over the years, I have realized the importance of strengthening our minds along with our bodies to whether the trials and tribulations of life.
I have felt the impact and interplay of my thoughts, the gut microbiome, and meditation on my hormone regulation and overall health. Utilizing healthy nutrition, yoga, and meditation, I have transformed my physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health.
Together with my husband, an Integrative Family Physician, I have edited and published books online in multiple formats on health and wellness.
I have a Bachelor’s in Physics, have experience working as a graphic artist, window display designer, and have taught digital art to various age groups. I have served on the Board of a Non-profit organization, have written and directed children’s plays, and have taught Sunday school for children in our community.
Along with my husband and son, I have a second-degree black belt in karate. I enjoy playing the keyboard, cooking flavorful vegetarian cuisine, and reading about personal finance and self-care.
